The History of Our Growing Small Animal Practice.............
Thank you for visiting our site. Towne Square Animal Hospital LLC. Started out as, Towne Square Animal Hospital, a single building/ business by the late DR. John Hyland in 1984. The successful practice steadily grew to a busy three doctor practice when his son Dr. Chris Hyland joined the practice in 1991. With the Lord’s blessings and strong community support we continued to grow. By 2003 the practice had grown to an even busier and cramped five doctor practice. In 2004 Dr. Robert Byrd retired from Audubon Animal Hospital on Parrish Ave. The acquisition of his practice, in combination with Towne Square Animal Hospital created the birth of Towne Square Animal Hospital LLC. Giving us all more elbow room and the added ability to serve the community from two convenient locations.
Over the years, as Owensboro and Daviess county area have grown we felt the need to serve the growing demand for pet boarding and grooming, thus Towne Square Pet Resort was built in 2005, completing the current day LLC. Throughout the many years, our family has grown to include a combined six doctors; twenty-nine full-time and eight to ten part-time support staff. Once again, It is with the Lord’s grace, blessings and humble beginnings that a small family business has grown into a large family of professionals dedicated to serving our community.
Our Mission
Three locations, Three Teams, One Family of professionals serving you and your family.
Our desire to help others is fulfilled by using our God given talents to care for your four-legged family members. We see ourselves not only as veterinarians, but as servants. It is through our love of animals that we serve other people. Being part of the veterinary profession is not only about medical science, but more about helping others. Greeting clients by first name, warm handshakes and the occasional hug come naturally when clients are viewed as family. This not a promise , instead a vow of service and a value that we hold deeply. As part of our family we will provide to your four-legged family the best care possible. Our family of doctors and staff have dedicated many years of our lives to the education and practice of veterinary medicine in order to better serve your pets health care needs. Animal relationships are a big part of our lives and we have found that our desire to help animals is the best way to serve you.
